What is an accession?
An accession is a stable germplasm record: a variety, hybrid, inbred line, population, or other breeding material. Do not create a new accession merely because the season or location changed.
How is a plot different from an accession?
The accession identifies the material. A plot is one physical observation unit for that material in a particular trial, design, location, and season.
What should be checked before an observation upload?
Confirm plot identifiers, trait definitions, units, dates, missing-value conventions, and the target trial. Use the validation preview before accepting a write.
Does the platform make agronomic decisions?
No. It stores, organizes, and presents evidence. Agronomic and breeding decisions remain the responsibility of qualified users who understand the trial and source data.
